What You’ll Do:
The Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in supporting Evansville Goodwill’s mission by ensuring the smooth, professional, and efficient operation of the headquarters reception and administrative functions. You will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, helping create a welcoming, organized environment that allows staff and leadership to focus on delivering services that change lives. This role requires strong attention to detail, adaptability, and a positive, service-oriented mindset.
Job Type: Part-time, Hourly Non-Exempt
Schedule: Weekdays 11:00AM-4:00PM, with potential for additional hours scheduled in advance during business hours 7:30AM-4:00PM on occasion for additional coverage
Pay Range: $16.00-$18.00/per hour

Responsibilities:
- Reception & Office Operations: Greet visitors, answer and direct calls, manage emails and correspondence, maintain office presentation, and oversee daily reception activities at headquarters.
- Administrative Support: Schedule meetings and appointments, manage calendars, prepare documents, letters, and presentations, and handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Office & Team Support: Maintain office supply inventory and purchasing, perform light janitorial tasks as needed, support Goodwill events and activities, and complete additional duties as assigned in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with proven experience in an administrative assistant or office support role.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and office management software.
- Professional, positive demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills, dependable attendance, and the ability to make quick decisions.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, and pull as part of daily office tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs independently and assist with team lifting or equipment use for items over 40 lbs.
- Work is primarily indoors with occasional exposure to outdoor temperatures and moderate noise levels; may encounter occupational allergens such as dust, animal hair/dander, perfumes.
